My friend George is not a sissy.
He can hang sheetrock, he can take you hunting and fishing, and he can show you the proper way to change the brake pads on your car.
In fact, most of my friends are not sissies. My friends are in construction, iron workers, lobstermen, mechanics – and most of them ride motorcycles.
So why is it that more and more men are acting like sissies? Slowly but surely the macho is being sucked dry out of the men in America.
Where is John Wayne when you need him? For centuries there was a definition of man and woman – now everything is a blur.
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Washington DC. My Tuesday afternoon walk around the Nation’s Mall was beautiful – temperatures in the mid 70’s - not a cloud in the sky.
What struck me was grown men riding around on their bicycles wearing helmets.
Are you joking??
Since when do you need a helmet riding on a bicycle at 5 MPH? Living in New York, I can’t wait to ride my motorcycle in Connecticut where there are no helmet laws.
The sissification of America continues.
Guys, be strong, take charge, you do not need most of the things that corporate America is trying to ram down your throats.
You don’t need a water bottle in one hand and a flavored coffee in the other.
God help you if I catch you watching Oprah.
